Power shutdown

There will be no power supply from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 1 in the following places owing to shutdown of K.P. Koilpalayam sub-station for maintenance work: Sarkar Samakulam, Kovilpalayam, Kurumbapalayam, Kallipalayam, Chettipalayam, Oraikaalpalayam, Vyampalayam, Ponnaihgoundenpudur, Sundamedu, Sennappa Chettipudur, Rayarpalayam, Agrakarasamakulam, Kottaipalayam, Kondaiyampalayam, Kunnathur, Kalipalayam, Mondikaalipudur and Vellamadai.

Regulatory orders

The Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore city, Karan Singha, has clamped regulatory orders on the city banning processions, demonstrations and meetings till August 9, according to a release.

Programme

PSG Hospitals will organise a programme on first aid for "RND soft employees" and they will be trained in first aid priorities, calling ambulance and determining the priorities for treatment. For details and registration, contact: 2570170, 2598822.
