Head Post Offices to collect IT returns on Sunday

KOCHI: Income Tax returns can be submitted at the Head Post Offices in Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kattapana, Kottayam and Alappuzha on July 30 during the working hours.

For submitting the returns, the assessee should bring Incomer Tax return, photocopy of the first page of the return and an open envelope.

The Permanent Account Number and name and address of the assessee, assessment year and circle or ward number of the assessing officer should be inscribed on the envelope.

The IT returns will be accepted till the deadline fixed by the Ministry of Finance, said a statement issued by V.K. Raveendranath, manager (BD and Marketing), India Posts, Ernakulam.
