Kurukonda Sainik School emerges champions

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sainik School, Kurukonda, Andhra Pradesh, emerged overall champions in the south zone inter-sainik school games meet that concluded at Sainik School, Thiruvananthapuram, on July 28.

The hosts emerged the runners-up in the meet in which 300 cadets from various sainik schools of south India participated. Competitions were held for football, volley ball, basketball and hockey. Station Commander, Military Camp, Pangode, Brigadier P.M. Hariz was the chief guest on the occasion. The winners of each event in the tournament will represent the zone at the national games meet to be held in Bihar next month.
