Supplyco to organise Onam markets

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Civil Supplies Corporation proposes to organise Onam markets on a larger scale this time. It will increase the number of fairs to 1,135. Metro fairs will be organised in cities, district fairs in district headquarters and Onam markets in taluks. There will be at least one Onam market in every constituency. The number of Onam markets will be increased from 102 to 141. In addition to these, there will be mini Onam fairs in all outlets of the Supplyco. Metro fairs will be organised at Putherikandam Maidan in Thiruvananthapuram, Pai Godown in Kollam, Kailasam Ground in Ernakulam, Thekkinkad Maidan in Thrissur and Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode.
