State terrorism, says Malaysia

SINGAPORE: Malaysia, Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) Chair, has denounced Israel's military action against Lebanon as "state terrorism."

However, Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi said the OIC member-states would not leave the U.N. in protest against its inaction in the face of the military campaign. Mr. Badawi said any OIC move to quit the U.N. would only create "a vacuum" when "we can still be of use" to it. "There are many other matters besides politics to be discussed at the U.N. level."
