BAI announces junior elite squad

VIJAYAWADA: The Badminton Association of India will organise an intensive coaching camp for the junior and sub junior elite squad at Hyderabad from August 8 to 30, BAI joint secretary Ch. Punnaiah Choudary announced here on Sunday.

The squad members are to report to National coach Pullela Gopi Chand at the Gachbnowli Indoor Stadium on Aug. 8.

The squad:

Boys: Abhimanyu, Sourav Verma, Romit Dodeja (all MP), Sumeet, Sai Praneeth, Prasanth, Ajay Kumar (all AP), J.S. Pranoy, Aditya Prakash, Neeraj Rahman, Alwyn Francis (all Ker), Pratik Patel (Guj), Parin Chopra, S. Rathore (all Mah), Satya Narain Rao, Manikaran, Aditya Elango (all TN), Hivok Jyothi Neog (Asm), Pranav Chopra, Bob Sharma, Raj Kumar (all Pun), Anup Kiran (Ktk), Sourav Kapoor (Har) and Anurag Sharma (UP).

Girls: Kannu Agarwal (Har), Prajakta Sawant, Bhagi Rathi Sharma, Pradnya Gade, Ankita Ashok, Vinith Gathe, Tanvinal, Ruchna Ghate, Anuradha (all Mah), T. Dipika, J. Shruthi (all AP), Shruti Sridhar (Ktk), Paravati Suresh (Ker) and Pashpa Naqvi (UP).
