Orientation programme: Applications have been invited for the IT orientation programme at the Academic Staff College from September 23 to October 20.

Applications can be downloaded from the university website and must be submitted before August 19.

Website inaugurated: Vice-Chancellor M.K. Ramachandran Nair on Saturday inaugurated the website of the Academic Staff College. The site, `www.ugcasc.keralauniversity.edu' contains details of the programmes organised for teachers and the application forms for these courses.

Mark list: Candidates who have passed the third year B.Sc. Computer Science and BCA supplementary examinations held in February 2005 by the Institute of Distance Education should apply to the IDE along with a self-addressed envelope stamped for Rs.22 for the mark list.

Refresher course: Applications have been invited for the refresher course in comparative literature scheduled at the Academic Staff College from August 11 to September 3.

The last date for submitting applications is August 5. the application form can be downloaded from the university web site.

New courses: The university has sanctioned 30 seats each for the B.Sc. programmes in Hotel Management and Catering Science and Botany and Biotechnology (restructured) at the Thuravoor Sree Narayana Guru Memorial Arts and Science College, Alappuzha.

The last date for submitting applications is August 5. The rank list will be published on August 9, the interviews will begin on August 21 and classes on August 23. Admissions will be closed on August 26.

Exams: First year MBBS examination will be held on August 16 and the third year BDS (supplementary) examination from October 12.

Music practical: The eighth semester MA Music practical paper I examination will be held on August 7 and 8, paper II on August 8 and 9, paper III on August 10 and 11 and paper IV on August 11 and 14 at the Government Women's College from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

Candidates are requested to remit Rs.150 as fee for the practical along with the examination fee.

B.Com. practical: The fourth semester practical examination for B.Com. Hotel Management and Catering will be held on Monday and Tuesday at the Varkala S.N. College from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

Viva-Voce: The fourth semester MTA viva-voce will be held on August 3 at the Institute of Management from 10 a.m. onwards.

M.Phil. interview: The interview for M.Phil. course in Library and Information Science will be held at the department on August 7 from 10.30 a.m. onwards.

M.Sc. nursing: The last date for applying for first semester M.Sc nursing examination is August 11.

BBA: The second semester BBA/B.Sc. Electronics examination will begin on August 2.
