Isolated rain in T.N.

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at many places over Kerala, coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Telangana and interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep. Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema. The following stations recorded heavy rainfall in centimeters: Londa (Belgaum dt.) 10, Kollur (Udupi dt) 8 and Nilkund and Yellapura (both Uttara Kannada dt) 7 each.

FORECAST (valid until Wednesdeay morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Kerala and coastal and north interior Karnataka, at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and south interior Karnataka, isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal and north interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

Forecast for Chennai city and neighbourhood (Valid until Wednesday morning): Partly cloudy. Development of thunderclouds possible in some areas during evening or night.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
