This refers to the article, "Beware the `new order' Israel is imposing" (July 29). Israel, since its inception, has only needed the slightest of pretexts to kill or maim Palestinians and several of its other Arab neighbours. Its present offensive in Lebanon is proof that Israel has no regard for human rights. The international community should wake up and stop the Middle East from becoming a "human tragedy of monumental proportions."

It is obvious that Israel, the U.S., and Britain are acting in concert to create the ground for an invasion of Syria and Iran and maintain their presence in the Middle East. The world is looking on helplessly much as it did when the Nazis were overrunning Europe.
