Chennai: Syed Anwar Shazuli, 28, of Integral Coach Factory, Chennai won the 19th all-India railway chess championship that concluded at the ICF Stadium on Monday. This allowed four other players to tie for the first place on seven points. The tie-break scores favoured the two ICF players. Shazuli, who beat Vikramjit Singh (SCR) won the title on better tie-break while his ICF teammate K. Gunasekaran finished second having beaten Kamble.
