Kudos Bindra All praise to Abhinav Bindra and the Indian junior squad for helping the country bag the first team medal in a World shooting championship, with a spectacular performance in the air rifle final. Abhinav did India proud by emerging the top shooter from a strong field of 122 shooters from nearly 100 countries. After Maj. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, it is Bindra's turn now to keep India's flag flying high. R.R. Sami, Tiruvannamalai Enough Ganguly! Saurav Ganguly's efforts to rehabilitate himself by playing in the English county cricket has failed. He has not shown the consistency in batting nor has his bowling blossomed. Time has come for Ganguly to forget about a comeback and instead concentrate on domestic cricket if he still wants to play, that is. Perhaps he should contemplate on taking up some Board projects or turn to commentating. D.B.N. Murthy, Bangalore Welcome Sachin Sachin Tendulkar's return is indeed good news. In the past he had returned from injury to perform splendidly. Let us pray that he remains the inspirational figure for the Indians in the forthcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka. P.V. Prasad Rao, Hyderabad Bring in Akram The BCCI should rope in Pakistani legend Wasim Akram to coach our pace bowlers. Irfan Pathan, who has some of Akram's traits, can be moulded well by the former Pakistan captain when it comes to swing bowling. K. Pradeep, Chennai Timely piece It was a timely piece on Garfield Sobers by Nirmal Shekar (Comment, The Hindu, July 28) on the West Indian genius's 70th birthday. The writer has truly captured the work of the great cricketer, as a batsman, bowler and fielder. To Sobers, cricket was not war but just a game. To his legion of fans, he is a cricketing God. K.V. Raman, Chennai Dunga's appointment Dunga's appointment as coach of the Brazilian football team should do a world of good to the champion side that so disappointed in the recent World Cup in Germany. A former captain and a good player, Dunga brings with him the experience that will help Brazilian football to regain the winning touch. P. Stephen, Tiruchi
