Chennai: Top seed Diwakar Prasad Singh of Jamshedpur and ten others are leading with maximum three points at the end of the third round of the sixth Adyar Times FIDE-rated chess tournament being played here on Monday.

Seven rounds remain to be played.

O.T. Anil Kumar of Kozhikode was shocked by K. Narayanan. "I missed simple equality," said the loser. In a rook and minor piece ending, Narayanan pawn stormed and won a minor piece for an upset win and a place in the joint lead with three points.
