Chennai: The eighth National veterans inter-zonal cricket tournament will be held here from Aug. 4 to 7 at the Mayajal Champ Sports Village cricket ground. Tamil Nadu (South), Jharkand (East), Jammu and Kashmir (North), Saurashtra (West) and Vidarbha (Central) will participate in the tournament. The final, to be played on Aug. 7, will be covered live by Doordarshan. Several present and former cricketers and sportspersons including Md. Azharuddin, S.M.H. Kirmani, S. Venkatraghavan, K. Srikkanth, L. Balaji, Dinesh Karthik, V.V. Kumar, C.D. Gopinath, W.V. Raman, Bharath Reddy, S. Ramesh, L. Sivaramakrishnan, Shiny Wilson and Jayshankar Menon have been invited for the tournament.
