ANANTAPUR: The third batch of youth trained by Indira Kranti Patham and Dr. Reddy's Foundation completed their training programmes in three job-oriented courses successfully at the Technical Training and Development Centre near here on Monday. The three courses are training in business process outsourcing (BPO), customer relation and sales (CRS) and hospitality (HSPT). The highlight of the three-month residential training is that the parents of all the 70 trainees are the members of self help groups (SHGs) involved in the social mobilisation and poverty alleviation schemes of IKP.
Loan
The SHG members have taken a loan of Rs. 10,000 each to provide the training for their wards. About 80 per cent of the trainees have already got placements. Of the Rs. 10,000 paid, Rs. 3,000 would be given back to the trainees for meeting the initial expenditure till they settle in their jobs. In all, 104 candidates were selected from Bathalapalli, Pedda Vaduguru, Gadnlapenta, Hindupur, Bukkaraya Samudram, Gudibanda and Madakasira mandals. But, only 70 attended the training. District Collector Dasari Kadmial, Adviser to State Government on District Poverty Initiatives Programmes Mera Shenoy and Project Director of IKP/DRDA Ramachandra Reddy were present during the valedictory session.
