Another bomb hoax at school

School in Yeshwanthapur gets call that a bomb has been planted

BANGALORE: Students and staff of Nirmala Jyothi School in Yeshwantpur went through some anxious moments on Monday following an anonymous call that a bomb has been planted on its premises.

Police said that around 9.30 a.m. an employee of the school, situated near the Yeshwantpur railway station, received a call that a bomb has been planted at the school and that it would explode at 10 a.m.

The school authorities immediately informed the Yeshwantpur police about the telephone call.

The staff of the Bomb Detection Squad, along with sniffer dog squad, rushed to the spot and searched the school premises. No explosives were found and the call turned out to be a hoax, the police said. The Yeshwantpur police have registered a case.
