Ekashila HS posts win
Ekashila HS defeated YMCA (Hyderabad) 25-20, 25-19 in the T. Gopal Trophy (under-15) volleyball tournament for boys at the Mushirabad Playground here. In another match, Musheerabad got the better of Atomic Energy Central School (ECIL) 33-31, 25-20.

St. Pious HS scored a 33-31 win over St. Joseph's HS in the fourth Dr. Emily Emanuel inter-school basketball tournament here. The scores: Boys (semifinals): St. Andrews HS 37 (Aditya 15) bt Meridian 8. HPS, Begumpet 48 (Bharath 20, Suraj Kumar 12) bt Chirec Public School 29. Nominations invited
Nominations and recommendations for the prestigious Padma Awards are invited from eminent sportspersons and they should reach the Deputy Secretary to Government (Law & Order), General Administration, Secretariat, on or before August 31, according to a press release here. The Awards will be given for distinguished service in various fields including sports and the interested should submit a detailed proforma available with the SAAP Office.
Rahim league
