Vishwas Saralaya takes honours

MANGALORE: Vishwas Saralaya of MGM, Udupi won the DCS Invitational Fischer rapid chess tournament held at here during the weekend.

Vishwas scored 5 points in six rounds and bettered Prakash V. Rao of Canara College and Vikram Saralaya of Canara College of Engineering, who were also tied at 5 points, but with lesser progressive score. Prakash Rao finished second.

Nihal Manjunath of Lourdes Central School was named `Best Junior Player' with 4 points.
