NALGONDA: Police on Tuesday busted a seven-member gang that allegedly looted a chemical factory at Dothigudem in Bhoodan Pochampally mandal late on Sunday night. Superintendent of Police M.M.Bhagwat told reporters that the gang raided Supraja Pharma Labs and decamped with two types of chemicals pentaprazole and omeprazole after threatening the security staff. The chemicals in the open market are worth Rs.5 lakhs and above. Police found a clue at the scene of offence in the form of a paper used to make a fake bomb.
Arrested persons
Working on the inputs given by him during the interrogation, a police team led by Chowtuppal Inspector Saleem Pasha nabbed Gaddam Ravinder Reddy (20), Kurakulla Narsimha (22), Annepu Narsi Reddy (24), Annepu Ramnarasimha Reddy (19) and Annepu Jayasimha Reddy (22) of Kotturu in Mellacheruvu mandal and Sayyad Baji (19) of Krishnapuram in the same mandal. A native of Kotturu, Kurakulla Krishna Rao is however absconding. The police also arrested Munuganti Shankar Kumar on the charge of purchasing looted chemicals.
