GIET students excel in campus selections

RAJAHMUNDRY: About 153 students of Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET), Rajahmundry, have been selected in the campus interviews conducted by multi-national companies during the last 15 days.

Satyam selected 60 students while 56 students were taken in by Wipro. Eleven students were selected by IBM and Tata Consultancy Services selected 21 students in the campus interviews. Companies like Syntal, Polaris, Infotech and 18 other leading multi-national companies will conduct campus interviews in GIET during this month.

Chairman of Chaitanya Group of Educational Institutions K.V.V.Satyanarayana Raju and GIET managing director K. Sasi Kiran Verma said that the `career launching programme' started by the institute gave training to the students to excel in campus interviews. "We plan to establish an international school with global standards at a cost of Rs.40 crores on a sprawling 40-acre campus in Rajahmundry and also set up a knowledge corridor," they said.
