KADAPA: Collector M.T. Krishna Babu on Tuesday directed Rajiv Institute of Medical Sciences doctors to treat poor patients suffering from chikungunya and viral fevers. RIMS hospital in the heart of Kadapa would treat super speciality cases alone. All other doctors and wings would be shifted to RIMS hospital at Putlampalle, the Collector said while addressing the hospital development advisory committee meeting here. The Government would be urged to sanction pharmacist posts and vital equipment needed, he said. Mr. Krishna Babu favoured regularisation of services of 70 nurses appointed on contract basis in the past. He wanted steps for prompt payment of salaries to nurses being appointed.
