Inter student commits suicide

TIRUPATI: Tension prevailed at a corporate school here as Devendra, a first year Intermediate student, committed suicide reportedly by taking an excess dose of sleeping pills.

Though the exact cause which drove the 16-year-old to the extreme step is not yet known, his irate parents who entered into heated exchanges with the school management attributed it to alleged `harassment'.

SFI and AISF held a dharna in front of the school.
