SP warns poll impostors

Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Jain has issued shoot-at-sight orders against any person attempting to lift ballot boxes from polling stations during the second phase of gram panchayat elections to be held in the district on Wednesday.

He has also warned of serious criminal proceedings against those who would indulge in pouring of water and ink into ballot boxes or tear ballot papers and in general those who would try to disturb the polling process.

District Collector Dasari Kadmial has asked voters to utilise their right of franchise without any fear as the administration has made all arrangements for proper polling.
