`Kumarswamy has lost moral authority to be in power'

Staff Correspondent

UDUPI: MLC Umashri said on Tuesday that the H.D. Kumarswamy Government had lost the moral authority to be in power after Janardhan Reddy, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader accused him of taking a bribe of Rs. 150 crore from the mine owners in Bellary.

She was presiding over a protest meeting organised by the Byndoor Block Congress Committee to protest against the "all-round failure" of the State Government.

Ms. Umashri said, the BJP had tried its best to keep Mr. Reddy quiet. But he ultimately made the allegation in the Legislative Council.

The Chief Minister should either allow the CBI to investigate the allegation or resign from his post, she said.
