HYDERABAD : Paramjit Singh Sadana, who was accused of masterminding his younger brother Jasbir Singh's murder reported three months ago, had used some 90 SIM cards to conceal his complicity, police said on Tuesday. A high-profile financier, Singh, 35, was found murdered in the posh house, where he was living jointly with Sadana, in Anand Nagar Colony of Khairatabad on April 28. Initially, police believed it was a murder for gain and the needle of suspicion pointed towards some Nepalis working in the house since they disappeared soon after the murder came to light. However, Sadana went underground as sleuths began suspecting his involvement. He was arrested on Tuesday when he turned up at a corporate hospital for medical check-up. "As soon as I realised that police had begun suspecting me, I kept moving across the country from Manali to Kanyakumari," he said, when police presented him before media persons. Two air pistols and several swordswere seized from his house. ACP (Crimes) Rajiv Trivedi said property dispute and a desire to lead a lavish lifestyle drove Sadana to plot his brother's murder. Around 1.30 a.m. on the fateful day, Singh returned home from a party and went to sleep in the front bedroom. "At Sadana's instance, his trusted Nepali servant Satya hit Singh on the head with a stick killing him with one blow," Mr.Trivedi explained. Later, the servant collected keys from Singh's clothes, opened the almirah and took away Rs. 3.5 lakhs.
