HYDERABAD: A special police team is leaving for New Delhi to look out for Naveen Kumar who allegedly stabbed to death two of his seniors in the Institute of Hotel Management on Monday night. Bodies of the two victims Sanoy Cherian and Sanjay Giri, final year students of the Institute, were handed over to their family members after forensic doctors performed autopsy at the Osmania General Hospital. While Cherian's family members took his body to Delhi by flight for cremation, final rites of Sanjay Giri were conducted at the local Amberpet electric crematorium. Giri's parents said they decided to cremate the body in Hyderabad as they thought transporting the body to their native place near Meerut would be cumbersome. Scores of students with tears welling in their eyes took part in the funeral procession. "When sending him from Delhi to Hyderabad, I had hoped he would return home a well-settled man. I never thought fate would force me to fly here to take back his body," said Cherian's father Thomas. "Both Cherian and Giri were well-manneredand mild in nature. This is so shocking that none of our classmates would recover immediately," wept Shaob, a classmate of the victims.
Found dead
Meanwhile, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, 24, a student of MCA course, was found dead under suspicious circumstances near the same Institute of Hotel Management in Durgabhai Deshmukh Colony on Tuesday evening. However, police said Reddy's death was not connected to the double murder. A resident of Badichowdi, Vishnu Vardhan was studying in CVSR College at Ghatkesar.
No visible injuries
His body was lying on the roadside close to a tea stall, which is some 100 yards from the IHM. "There are no visible external injuries on his body barring scratches seen on his face," the police said. A wallet, a college identity card and a mobile phone were recovered from his clothes. A case of suspicious death was registered.
