Conference on textiles

COIMBATORE : SSM College of Engineering, Komarapalayam, and Texas Tech University will organise a three-day conference on `Advances in Fibrous Materials, Non-woven and Technical Textiles' from August 7. The Union Minister of State for Textiles, E. V. K. S. Elangovan, will inaugurate it. According to a college release, the Indian textile industry needs to create value-added products using non-wovens, nano and new materials to face international competition.
