BHEL bags NTPC contract

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured a major contract from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for setting up the first 490 MW unit of the National Capital Thermal Power Project (NCTPP) Stage-II at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh. BHEL's scope of work in the contract envisages manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the main plant package for the power project. The project is slated for commissioning in 2009-10.
