Reliance Communication Q1 net at Rs. 513 cr.

CHENNAI: Reliance Communication has achieved a net profit of Rs. 513 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006, against a loss of Rs. 250 crore in the corresponding period last year. The revenue has increased to Rs. 3,250 crore from Rs. 2,283 crore, a growth of 42 per cent. The profit, before depreciation and interest charges, has jumped to Rs. 1,206 crore from Rs. 159 crore.
