NEW DELHI: Shreya Aggarwal played a significant role in piloting Modern School, Barakhamba Road, to the title in the girls' under-13 section of the ASN Delhi State inter-school badminton tournament at the Ludlow Castle School No. 2, Shamnath Marg, here on Wednesday. Shreya won both her singles and the doubles in partnership with Gauri Ashija to help Modern beat Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, 2-1 in the final. The title in the boys' under-13 section went to Air Force Bal Bharati School. Shikhar of Apeejay School, Noida, and Kanika Kanwal of host ASN Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar, won the boys' and girls' under-10 singles titles respectively. The results (finals): Boys: Under-13: Air Force Bal Bharati School bt Bloom School, Vasantkunj 2-0 (Bhaskar Chakravarti bt Aditya 21-8, 21-8; Harshwardhan bt Ryan 21-10, 21-13). Under-10 (singles): Shikhar (Apeejay, Noida) bt Rohan (Ahlcon) 18-21, 21-14, 21-13. Girls: Under-13: Modern School, Barakhamba Road bt DPS, Mathura Road 2-1 (Shreya Aggarwal bt Lakshmi 21-2, 21-3; Gauri Ashija lost to Shambhavi 10-21, 15-21; Shreya and Gauri bt Shambhavi and Lakshmi 21-19, 21-14). Under-10 (singles): Kanika Kanwal (ASN) bt Shivika Nehra (Modern) 21-8, 21-16.
