Music week organised

BANGALORE: National Public School, Koramangala, celebrated "Music Week" from July 17 to 21. Veteran and young artistes performed during the event. Sukanya Rajagopal (ghatam) and Shivalingappa Rajapur (flute) performed on the first day. Sanjeev Korti gave a sitar recital. R. Kumaresh performed on the violin accompanied by Jayachandra on the mridangam.

Investiture

Achala Vidya Mandira School, Rajajinagar, organised its investiture ceremony recently. Principal Sudha Ramamurthy pinned badges and assigned responsibilities to the newly elected leaders. The leaders took a pledge to keep up the honour of the institution. Bharath. V. Reddy and Neha Pant were elected school captain and vice-captain.

Prize day

Bishop Cotton Girls' School organised its annual prize day recently. At the senior prize day, Rita Wilson, Deputy Secretary, Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, was chief guest. Reesha Joshi received the Cotton Medal, while Naaz Abdul Khadar, who stood first to the school in the ICSE, was given the Pope Medal. Principal Princess Franklyn read the annual report. At the junior prize day function, Radhika. S. Kumar received the Carmel Joseph Cup for the best all-rounder in the junior school, while P. Sharon Veronica was given the OGA Prize for academic progress in class IV.

New leaders

Army Public School organised its investiture ceremony recently. Brigadier Clement Samuel, Commander, Karnataka and Kerala Sub-area, pinned badges to the school captain and vice-captain.
