Staff Reporter

1,092 engineering seats under concessional fee category remain unfilled

BANGALORE: The Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will conduct the admission round seat selection process for Architecture on Thursday in two stages.

In the first stage, the 18 Bachelor of Architecture seats available in government University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) will be offered for selection to the eligible Architecture rank holders of the Aptitude Test as per the schedule notified in the "CET 2006" brochure.

Since all the 18 seats are under the concessional fee category, the candidates who select these seats should pay Rs. 18,090 through demand draft drawn in favour of "The Special Officer, CET Cell, Bangalore" payable at Bangalore.

In the second stage, the 219 B.Arch seats (153 under concessional fee and 66 under higher fee) available in private unaided colleges will be offered for selection to eligible NATA rank holders at 4 p.m. on Thursday. Since the architecture seats in private colleges are of two types, the candidates who select concessional fee seats should pay Rs. 18,090 and the candidates who select higher fees should pay the prescribed fee amount of Rs. 88,090 through demand draft.

A total of 1,092 engineering seats under concessional fees and 3,247 seats under higher fee category remained unfilled at the end of the "CET 2006" admission round seat selection process for engineering and technology courses here at the Common Entrance Test Cell on Tuesday.
