Advinus drug discovery facility opened

NEW DELHI: Advinus Therapeutics, a joint venture between the Tata Group and ex-Ranbaxy research head, Rashmi Barbhaiya, has inaugurated a drug discovery facility in Pune in Maharashtra and said it would scale up its headcount to 550 employees by 2010. The discovery arm of Advinus would undertake novel drug discovery and generate intellectual property primarily in the area of metabolic diseases and inflammation, a company release said.
