Canara Bank regional office upgraded
COIMBATORE:
The Coimbatore Regional Office of Canara Bank will be upgraded to a Circle office from August 4. According to the Deputy General Manager of the circle, N. Sethupathy, the circle will cover Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and the Nilgiris Districts. It will have totally 116 branches and about 20 branches will be brought under core banking solutions this year. Currently, one branch has the CBS facility. The bank plans to add about 20 off-site ATMs in the circle during this financial year. Each branch has also identified a village for financial inclusion. The technology-based services of the bank include mobile and internet banking, inter and intra bank electronic fund transfer and anywhere banking.
