High Court seeks records on suspension

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday directed the State Government to furnish the records pertaining to the suspension of an Assistant Drugs Inspector and adjourned further hearing on the case.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph and Justice N.K. Patil said that it would like to peruse Government files before passing a fresh order.

It asked the Government advocate to make available the records before the next date of hearing. The Bench passed the order on an appeal by H. Srinivas, the official who was suspended. He submitted that the Government had falsely held him responsible for a report in a Kannada newspaper on the raids conducted by him to unearth spurious drugs in Bangalore.
