India to host tri-series
Mumbai: India would host a tri-series, likely to feature Sri Lanka and the West Indies, ahead of the 2007 World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday.
``It's expected to feature Sri Lanka, which has confirmed its participation, and the West Indies after it finishes its tour of Pakistan. The series is likely to be played in January and February 2007,'' BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah told PTI over phone from Rajkot.
Meanwhile, the proposed tri-series in Singapore and Malaysia would be tentatively held from Sept. 15 to 29, Shah said. PTI
