Industries Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi, addressing a meeting on the State's participation in IITF-2006 here early this week, said the exhibitions in the Rajasthan Pavilion at Pragati Maidan would be of international standard to match this year's theme of "small and medium enterprises and tourism". In addition to an impressive model on Mangala oilfield in the Barmer-Sanchore basin, the display of Rajasthan's leading position in the production of zinc will be made in an attractive manner. Mr. Rajvi said the private sector would be encouraged to participate in the multi-product presentation in the pavilion.

The Minister said other sectors to be highlighted with the emphasis on their export potential would include information technology, power, communication, agriculture, electronics, textiles, wool and leather based products, agro and food processing, marble and granite, handicrafts, gems and jewellery, and plastics and rubber based products. The State's achievements in tourism, culture and social development will be some of the other themes to be exhibited in the pavilion.
