PONDICHERRY: DMK legislator S. P. Sivakumar brought to the notice of Chief Minister N. Rangasamy during zero hour in the Assembly on Thursday that most of the private medical colleges in Pondicherry were charging students exorbitantly on various heads including transportation, use of computers. He said the Government had stipulated reasonable tuition fees and also planned to reimburse fees. But the managements were seeking to crush the students. Mr. Sivakumar suggested that the Chief Minister convene a meeting with representatives of managements of the private medical colleges and instruct them not to tax the students anymore.
