CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to set up a transport hub over an area of 1,000 acres in a phased mannerto meet the requirements of Gurgaon, Manesar and Bawal. An official spokesman of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) said here on Thursday that 200 acres of land for the first phase of this ambitious project was in the final stages of acquisition. Additional land, measuring about 629 acres, was being acquired at Industrial Model Township, Manesar to meet the demand for industrial plots in this complex and 683 acres were being acquired for carving out a new residential sector in this township. Describing the Industrial Model Township, Manesar, as a flagship industrial complex of the HSIIDC, he claimed that it had witnessed an unprecedented growth during the tenure of the present Government as a large number of multi-national and domestic companies had set up their projects.
