HYDERABAD: Agriculture and Civil Supplies Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy has directed officials to see that sufficient stocks of pulses, tamarind and palm oil are available in all Rythu Bazaars across the State from Friday. Reviewing the sale of pulses, tamarind and oil at the bazaars on Thursday here, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said that only 235 tonnes of tamarind was supplied by the Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC), as against an indent of 375 tonnes received from the Rythu Bazaars. He said that 160 tonnes of pulses were made available in all Rythu Bazaars in the twin cities. The stock would increase to 500 tonnes in the next two days, officials told the Minister. The Minister asked the officials to gather information on the demand for pulses, tamarind and palm oil. Officials informed the Minister that there was good demand for the farm equipment manufactured by AGROS. So far 15,000 such equipments had been supplied out of an order for 18,732 equipments. Equipment worth Rs. 22 crores had been supplied to farmers.
