HYDERABAD:
The need for manufacturing industries to tackle the shortage of skilled workmen at the entry level that the sector is beginning to face has been highlighted by B. Santhanam, Managing Director, Saint-Gobain Glass India.
At a three-day summit on manufacturing competitiveness at the Indian School of Business here on Thursday, Mr. Santhanam said multinational companies need to start with a clear long-term vision to tap the opportunity in India by over-investing in human resources and infrastructure.
As far as business in India was concerned, it is the "Invest, Incubate, Intensify and Innovate" approach that would work, he stressed.
