Certificate course in astronomy

The M.P. Birla Institute of Fundamental Research has introduced a 100-hour certificate course in astronomy and astrophysics for B.Sc, M.Sc, BE, ME, B.Tech and M.Tech students. KSIC offers special discount

Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation Ltd. has devised a new method of direct selling without intermediaries by organising exhibitions in the State. The corporation has announced a special discount of up to 20 per cent for the Varamahalakshmi puja season. Customers can alternatively avail themselves of up to 10 per cent discount and get a 2-g gold chain. The offer is valid in company-owned outlets and exhibition sales.

Yajur Upakarma

Water Adalat

BWSSB will hold a Water Adalat of East 1 sub division at 9.30 a.m. on Friday at the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, Fraser Town. Disputes of customers coming under the jurisdiction of Kasturinagar, OMBR Layout, HRBR Layout, HBR Layout and Lingarajapuram will be heard. Seminar

British Library, Bangalore, will conduct a seminar on "Student Visas" through video-conference from the Chennai centre at 4.30 p.m. on Friday for the benefit of students who have secured admissions in institutions in the United Kingdom for September 2006 intake.
