Lady Doak reigns
Lady Doak College retained the title for the third successive year defeating Fatima College 2-0 in the final of the Madurai Kamaraj University inter-collegiate women's badminton tournament at the University indoor stadium here on Friday. Dr. A. Kailash Paliwal, Syndicate member gave away the prizes. The results: Final: Lady Doak College bt Fatima College 2-0 (Abiramai bt Deepa 21-8, 21-6; Abirami & Lakshmi Saranya bt Deepa & Vigneshwati 21-10, 21-12). Semifinals: LDC bt S.F.R. College, Sivakasi 2-0; Fatima bt Sri Meenakshi Govt. College for Women 2-0.

P.S.N.A. College of Engineering, Dindigul and Mohamed Sathak College of Engineering, Kilakarai entered the semifinals of the Anna university Zone 9 inter-Engineering women's badminton tournament with 2-0 wins overs R.V.S. College of Engineering, Dindidul and A.C.C.E.T, Karaikudi at K.L.N.College of Engineering Courts here on Friday.
