BELLARY: "Wait and see. All matters will be resolved in a few days." This was what Sushma Swaraj, senior BJP leader and MP, said here on Friday while answering questions on the political developments in the State following the allegation against Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy by Janardhan Reddy, suspended BJP MLC.

Making it clear that the bribery charge against Mr. Kumaraswamy would in no way affect the Janata Dal (S)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition Government in the State, she said that she was confident of resolving the issue. "It is for the first time that the party has formed Government in the State, and we do not want it to go. Please wait and watch," she said.

Terming the developments unfortunate, she said efforts were on to find a solution to them. On the suspension of Mr. Reddy from the party, Ms. Sushma Swaraj said it was an internal affair of the party.

She said that she would have a detailed discussion with Mr. Reddy. "I am here on a patch-up mission and not to promote dissident activities. I have faith in Mr. Reddy that he would listen to me and I have also faith in the State leadership too. All doubts will be cleared soon," she said.

Ms. Sushma Swaraj expressed her happiness that the BJP, which was weak in Bellary district till 1999, had emerged as the strongest party in the State.

"This year I am visiting Bellary with pride as our party is in power and I give full credit to the people of Bellary for reposing faith in the party," she said.

Ms. Sushma said that a blueprint was being prepared for the development of Bellary. Sadananda Gowda, president of the State unit of the BJP; Sriramulu, Minister for Tourism, Textiles and Infrastructure Development; Karunakar Reddy, MP; and Shobha K. and Arvind

    Limbawali, legislators, were present.
