Rupee rules steady
MUMBAI: The rupee ended fractionally higher at 46.55/56 a dollar in dull trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, ahead of the release of U.S. non-farm pay-roll data.
Resuming steady at 46.54/57 a dollar, the Indian unit later was trapped in a small range of 46.52 - 46.57 dollar in the absence of any worthwhile activity during the day.
The US non-farm payrolls data will be important in providing clues about what could happen in the Federal Open Market Committee meeting on August 8, they added. PTI
