SHIMLA: The Students Federation of India has approached the State Women Commission against the brutal assault and molestation alleged by some of its girl student leaders in the Himachal University campus. The leading students' organisation in the University campus has also strongly condemned the statement by the University Registrar who has denied lathi charge on the students here on Tuesday. The students have alleged that the Vice-Chancellor and the University Registrar are acting as the political agents of the ruling Congress party and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. The State SFI has demandedthat the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar should be removed immediately from there posts. The organisation has planned to go for a state-wide agitation against corruption in the university.
