DEHRA DUN: The Centre has extended the Concessional Industrial Package for Uttaranchal by three years till March 31, 2010. Announcing this here on Friday, the Uttaranchal Chief Minister, Narayan Dutt Tiwari said that now the industries beginning production till that date will be eligible for the tax concessions. Thanking the Union Minister of State for Commerce, Jairam Ramesh for the extension, Mr Tiwari hoped it will help in further strengthening the efforts to attract more industrial investments to the State. It may be mentioned that the package was announced by the then Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee for a period of ten years beginning 2003.
