CHENNAI: Actor Vishal hopes for a hat-trick. His first movie, `Chellame', was a hit. So was his second movie, `Sandaikozhi'. His third, `Thimiru', released on Friday. "I agreed to do the film for the character played by Shreya Reddy. It is easily the best part of the movie. Watch the movie, then you will know why," says Vishal. The film's director, first timer Tharun Gopi, worked as an apprentice for Senthilnathan and later with directors such as A. Venkatesh, Kannada Upendra, Manoj Kumar and Sakthi Chidambaram. "It is not only a satisfying film for me, but also for the producer, Vikram Krishna, and his father, G.K. Reddy. They really appreciated me by saying that I have delivered more than I promised them ... ," says Gopi. Vishal plays Ganesh, a medical student, while Reema Sen is a psychology student. Shreya Reddy plays a law student. The romance and action in the script is bound to make waves, says the director. The movie was shot in 75 days in Madurai, Theni and Chennai, using only 90 rolls of film. Gopi says that as he studied in a Tamil medium school, he did not know English. Initially, he says he had no clue as to how to work with the lead ladies. But, producer Vikam Krishna translated their part into English, and this helped the actors to come prepared for shooting. Priyan has done the cinematography, while Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music.
