MANGALORE: It is crucial for the workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to have belief in the ability of the coalition Government in Karnataka to fulfil the expectations of the party, Minister for Fisheries B. Nagaraj Shetty, has said. While the Government will not belie the expectations of the workers, they should give the Government time to deliver, has said. Inaugurating a training programme for select members of the BJP Yuva Morcha here on Thursday, Mr. Shetty reminded the cadre that the Government has to function within the constraints of a coalition deal. While the workers felt that with their party in power, all their aspirations would be fulfilled, Government cannot go against the common minimum programme agreed upon by the partners. Advising workers to have patience, he urged them to take interest in conveying the achievements of the coalition Government in the last six months to the people of the State. Noting that Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa had presented a model budget that would cater to all sections of society, Mr. Shetty advised the workers to take this message to the people, especially in rural areas. According to Mr. Shetty, BJP is fortunate to have highly dedicated and motivated cadre of youth serving its cause, and the party would give them every opportunity to showcase their talent and utilise their services at the organisational level. Urging them to use the lessons learnt at the training programme seriously, he said most of them would have the opportunity to emerge as future leaders of the party. President of district unit of the morcha Udaya Madodi, who presided over the function, said the training programme would further strengthen the organisational skills of an already dedicated and disciplined cadre. Subramanya Prasad welcomed the gathering. Tilakraj proposed the vote of thanks. The party's general secretaries Vishweshwar Bhat Bangaradka, Nalin Kumar Kateel and Narayana Gatti, were present.
