Hostel to celebrate silver jubilee

MANGALORE: St. Christopher's Hostel, part of St. Christopher's Association, is celebrating its silver jubilee.

H.N. Sathyanarayana Rao, Inspector-General of Police (Western Range), will inaugurate the celebrations here on Sunday.

Susheel Noronha, president of the association, told presspersons here on Wednesday that the hostel was started with the intention of providing accommodation to men who came to the city in search of jobs.

People from various parts of the country stayed at the hostel with a capacity to accommodate 100 persons.
