Chain snatched

Bangalore: Two men, who came on a motorcycle, snatched a gold chain worth Rs. 40,000 from a housewife in Rajajinagar police station limits on Friday. The police said that around 5.45 a.m. the robbers snatched the chain from Rajamma (53), a resident of 57th Cross, 4th Block, Rajajinagar, while she was walking home from a milk booth near Bashyam Circle.

The Rajajinagar police have registered a case.

Sandalwood tree felled

Thieves felled a sandalwood tree on the Indian Institute of Science campus and made away with the logs in the early hours of Friday. While they were carrying the logs in a gunny bag, they noticed a Cheetah patrol motorcycle and threw the bag out of the vehicle and sped away, the police said. The Sadashivanagar police have seized the logs.
